Overview of Publishing Services

For all books, it is assumed that the author will provide a fully edited MS Word electronic version of the text and electronic images in a 300-600 dpi JPEG (.jpg) file of the actual size of the image. The term “fully edited” is determined at the sole discretion of Author’s Corner. All editing, electronic text image conversion and insertion charges will be included in the Custom Quotation.

Standard book binding styles are Perfect Bound, French Perfect Bind, Wire-O, Spiral Bound, and Saddle Stitch. Hardcover case laminate and library binding with a dust jacket styles are also available.

Standard book sizes are 5 inches x 8 inches, 5.5 inches x 8.5 inches, 6 inches x 9 inches, 8.5 inches x 8.5 inches, 7 inches x 10 inches, and 8.5 inches x 11 inches.

• One-on-one consultation and guidance free-of-charge prior to preparing a Custom Quotation.
• A Custom Quotation of services requested with prices and estimated timelines provided to the Author after free-of-charge consultation.
• Interior text design, formatting, layout, and copy-editing costs range from $.025 to $.04 per word.
• Cover costs typically vary between $175 and $350 depending on the degree of customization requested and are included in the Custom Quotation.
• Interior photos, tables, and illustrations typically cost $3 to $10 per insertion depending on complexity.
• ISBN barcode with embedded retail price is $75. (Required for all books published by Author’s Corner)
• The author’s copyright date listed in their book is established as the date Author’s Corner receives the author’s original manuscript.
• Author’s Corner quotes can include listing the author’s book with the Library of Congress to receive a control number and fulfill the requirement of providing a copy to the Library of Congress.
• Author’s Corner quotes can include completing copyright registration forms and paying fees to the U.S. Copyright Office.
• The author purchases a desired quantity of books from Author’s Corner and the author is responsible for all sales.
• The author may request their books be listed for purchase on Author’s Corner website www.authors-corner.net. The author must consign a small inventory of books to Author’s Corner and for this amenity, Author’s Corner will charge a shipping, handling, and servicing fee of 40% to the author and will either forward a check or make an online payment to the author quarterly.
• Listings on Amazon.com, both as a print-on-demand version and/or as a Kindle Book can be arranged.

Basic

• An Author Representative will give you one-on-one custom support for your project.
• A non-exclusive agreement where you retain full rights
• Formatting of your b/w word processing file for conversion to a printer ready digital file.
• ISBN number and bar code provided for you.
• An author’s digital proof for pre-press review.
• Photographs included in books (5 photos included, additional at extra cost)
• No minimum book order: order only those copies needed and reorder whenever necessary.

• An attractive template-based cover design with photo, font selections, author bio, and back cover story summary.

Edge Plus

All features and services from the Basic Plan, plus the following:

• A 4-color custom designed cover, including back cover story summary, author bio, and full-color author photo.
• Expedited turnaround time on your manuscript conversion.
• Marketing advice and support.
• Regular reports of your book sales through Author’s Corner channels.
• A full page on authors-corner.com dedicated to selling your book.
• Completed copyright forms registration with the Library of Congress.
• Prominent featuring on our website as a new release immediately after publication.
