Mary Jane Hollis grew up in the greatest times. Born in the late 1930s, she has witnessed and experienced many interesting events. An avid animal lover, she was a neighborhood caretaker for animals as well as the animal’s owners. Having a strong love of horses as a teenager, her passion for horses and all animals has continued throughout her life. Mary Jane and her husband Mack have raised and shown many walking horses throughout the years and were featured in a 2013 article in the Walking Horse Report which is included in the book. Mrs. Hollis is a registered nurse and has worked in many areas of the health field where she retired from teaching. Now at age eighty, Jane wants to share her life experiences with her family and friends.
